Despite government advisory, edible oil prices rise by up to Rs 22/litre

Despite advisories from the food department to keep edible oil prices stable during the festive season, prices have increased by Rs 8-22 per litre. This follows an import duty hike on soyabean, sunflower, and palm oil. The food department has asked industry associations for clarification on these price hikes.
